Design Services
The first step in a successful solar energy installation
is to assure that your system is properly designed. There are many
details to attend to during a system design, and REgrid Power is your expert
guide to them. The following are some of the services we provide during
a complete system design:
Site Survey:
Many of the characteristics of successful solar installations
are site specific. We perform a thorough site survey of your prospective
system location with the proper instrumentation to assess all required parameters,
including:
Solmetric Suneye assists in calculating optimum solar exposure and potential shadowing
- site elevation & latitude, average available hours of sunlight
- availability of suitable mounting location, tilt angle & direction of mounting location
- type of roof or mounting surface, roof live load calculations
- seasonal shading using the latest high-tech shade measurement device available
- weather patterns & average temperatures
- current & projected system loads
- length & location of wire runs
- component placement
- local zoning & electrical codes
Economic Analysis:
Solar energy is indeed cost effective. The cost per watt
has dropped more than 2000% over the past twenty-five years. With the availability
of state and federal incentives and credits the cost per watt for solar power
is now comparable or less than utility power for many applications. As part
of our complete design services, your REgrid Power representative will provide
an easy to read, no-nonsense analysis of complete system costs including materials,
installation, permits, incentives & tax credits you may be eligible for,
plus annual & lifetime energy savings projections. A few of the economics
stated in the analysis are:
- Internal Rate of Return (IRR) with or without financing
- Payback without consideration of resale value
- Incremental real estate value of your solar system
- Average annual savings of the system in the first year
- Solar systems have a very long, low maintenance life expectancy – typically 30 years or more
- The fuel costs for a solar electric system are free
- There is a state property tax exemption on solar electric systems
Incentives & Credits:
Solar systems installed in California are eligible
for a variety of state and federal incentives and tax credits. As part of its
complete design services, your REgrid Power representative will assure that
required governmental paperwork is completed in order to qualify you for any
available rebates and incentives. Contact REgrid Power for more detailed information
on current incentives that include:
Valley Village Retirement Community
Detailed Report:
As discussed on our Learn About Solar Energy page, different
types of solar systems are appropriate for different applications. A REgrid
Power representative will meet with you to understand and prioritize your objectives
- whether they be lowering your utility bill, adding conservation measures,
or as an investment strategy. Regardless of whether you ultimately purchase
a system from us or not, your REgrid Power representative will provide you
with:
- Results of our site analysis
- Recommended installation method
- Proposed system to meet your needs and your location
- Financial analysis and cost of the proposed system
- Warranty information
